Description
Located at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, the home's bright white stucco facade peeks above a dramatic landscape of tumbled boulders and desert plants. As you approach the property you'll wonder if you haven't arrived in Greece, or elsewhere along the Mediterranean.
That WOW moment that we all hope for greets you immediately as you step through the front door and gaze over the large Gathering Room below, with the sparkling poolside playground just beyond.
The floorplan of your vacation oasis is terraced on two levels; the upper entry level includes the expansive Master Suite, one Guest Room, Hallway Bath, and Laundry Room. Five steps below is the main floor of the home where you'll find three more Guest Rooms, two Bathrooms, Kitchen, and the expansive Gathering Room.
Furnished with a designer's eye, the home's decor has been thoughtfully curated in post-modern furnishings, with a nod to Mod and the Far-East. High-Style can be comfortable, and these homeowner's have made sure of that. Your friends and family will enjoy gathering on the large L-shaped sectional to watch a movie or talk about the happenings' of the day......Did you hang out poolside and gaze at the mountainside from your float? Did you take a hike up the nearby trail? Or maybe your took a 2 minute drive into downtown Palm Springs for shopping and a bite to eat?
Beyond the wall of glass that flanks the Gathering Room is the the luscious back yard which celebrates Palm Springs' famous indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Again, praise to the homeowners' who've continued the casual elegance of the interior to the outside as well. Here you will find a newly refinished pool and spa, 8 lounge chairs, and a conversational area with plush sofa and two side chairs.
There's a spectacular view at every angle, and at night you can even see the light of the Palm Springs Tramway as it ascends up to the peak. Few homes can boast that view!
For al fresco dining, there's a large rectangular table that seats 6 adjacent to the kitchen, making it easy to entertain guests. And speaking of the kitchen, it is a chef's delight. With its stainless appliances and ample solid-surface counters, there's counter seating for 4 and additional casual eat-in kitchen seating for 8. There's a place at the table for everyone in this large kitchen.
Adjacent to the kitchen are two of the Guest Bedrooms which share a bath. This bath is conveniently compartmentalized so that multiple guests can use the bath at the same time. While one is showering behind a pocket door for privacy, another can use the vanity sink.
One bedroom features a Cal King bed and 42"" TV. The second bedroom features two twin beds and a 42"" TV. Both rooms offer sliders to private west-facing patios and views of the mountain.
On the opposing side of the main level is another Guest Bedroom featuring a King bed, ensuite bath with walk-in shower, and 42"" TV. This bedroom also offers direct access to the pool and is one of the most private bedrooms within the house.
The fourth Guest Bedroom is located on the upper entry-level of the home and features a Queen Bed, 42"" TV, and private patio that also takes advantage of the mountain view. This room has access to the shared bath across the hall.
The Master Bedroom is also located on the upper entry-level of the home and offers a Cal King bed, writing desk, 42"" TV, Walk-in Closet, and private walled patio that takes full advantage of the mountain backdrop. The master bath ensuite feels like a spa retreat with double sink vanities, private toilet closet, and huge walk-in shower with double rain heads.
No matter which room you're in, the stylized design aesthetic carries from room to room and you'll always feel pampered and happy in your plush pad.
Beyond the home, mountain biking, running and walking trails start within minutes of the front door. Each step uphill opens up more of the Coachella Valley view. The heart of downtown Palm Springs, with its wonderful array of restaurants, shops and art galleries, is nearby (a five minute drive, eight minute bike ride, or 30 minute walk, your choice). One of Palm Springs' many biking circuits is within two blocks, many restaurants, grocery and other stores a ten minute walk away, and multiple golf courses and tennis venues are located within 15 minutes by car.
